So Home and Away returns January 27th. It has been a long wait. From all international soaps that I have seen I would say HA is at the top. I only start watching it last year but was instantly hooked. It has been a long wait.

So who do you guys think hasn't survived the bomb?

i love Home and Away since the Beginning and have watched nearly EVERY EPISODE (Besides 1997 to 2000.. the lost years that are so hard to find but yay seven two repeats classics and are at 1040 around... few years and they are there)

i think the Show became TOO MUCH the Braxton Show... i love Heath and Darryl but Casey is freaking Annoying and acts ALWAYS like a Crybaby.. seriously..

i hate the UK.. they stopped airing the episodes from 2000 with the Sunderlands, hayley and noah :(

i love Heath and Biancas Plot the most but both depart this year... and Indi was my favorite but shes gone :(

the Show Focus too much on new characters These days

I only started watching around September 2013 I think. It could be before that. Of what I have seen of Indi I liked her character. It was a shame that she left.

The twins and the cult story didn't do much for me.

I love Bianca. I didn't know she was leaving. It's a shame. I have mixed feelings about Heath. One day I like him and the next I don't.

I am not that of a guru with HA but Dr Nate Cooper is a good addition to the cast. I want to see him with Ricky and when Darryl gets out of prison it will be a good mess. There is a lot of potential for good story.

One character who I wish could leave is this Josh character.

I am really looking forward for this to start. Why do they have to take these long breaks?

GTST of the netherlands is taking breaks from july to September every year.. maybe this is the time where People aren't home because of Holidays and wouldn't watch it anyway

Our local soaps don't take breaks. They show right throughout the year regardless of holidays. I only now watch Binneland of our local soaps. The others has really become a joke and not watchable. We had a soap called Egoli that was really good until about a year before it was cancelled. The network really let that soap down. They cancelled it for The Wild that was another soap in South Africa. It didn't last long either before cancelled. I am still angry at them cancelling Egoli and that was in 2010. Sorry for going off topic.

Yeah they took a break from November. It is about two months.

What was weird about Egoli? Was it maybe because it was in another language? They started a rerun of it a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I didn't record it but started from episode 1000 to record it. I want to keep it and one day maybe watch it again. Most of it I can't remember because it was so long ago.

Binneland actually started out as a weekly primetime drama. It was so popular that they changed the format to soap. It is not that bad. It has its off moments though. There was a time about over a year ago where it totally didn't interest me and I almost gave up on it but it was due to a storyline that I really hated.

the language itself wasn't the issue on egoli.. it was the way the Show was written.. never seen something like that before ^^ not used to it like on Home and Away or else in US/Germany/Aussie/Uk/Spain.. it wasn't realy bad but it was different to the stuff i used to know.

yeah i know about Binneland as weekly.. i don't know.. i can't find myself getting into it.. i started serval times during the 2008/09 season and 2011/12.. but it's not for me
