Hollyoaks has received the most nominations on the British Soap Awards 2014 shortlist. It received 20 nominations this year, compared with 15 for EastEnders, 14 for Coronation Street, 12 for Emmerdale and 8 for Doctors.

BSA's are the biggest awards for british soaps. I dunno if anyone is interested but some of these nominations are causing a bit of a debate with british soap fans so i just thought if anyone wanted to see them they are here :)

Personally I see Coronation St taking home the most awards (5-6), followed by Hollyoaks (2-3) then Emmerdale (2-3) finally Eastenders (1-2) (if it wins any at all. I didn't win ONE award last year!)

Doctors never wins anything lol not because it isn't good but because it doesn't have the fanbase that the other soaps do.

Anyway the nominations are below.

Haha they've done really well this year and I can see them taking away the top award for Best British Soap. They'll also more than likely win best storyline and best actress for Hayley's cancer story (maybe also single episode as well) Michelle Keegan will win Sexiest Female. She's won it like 4 years running now lol

i wish Eastenders and Emmerdale the best of luck... Corrie sucked a bit this season/year and Hollyoaks? Oh.. i stopped after JP was raped by Finn. that was too much to take.. and all the newbies.. not worth to get that much nominations.. but hey.. it's britain i forgot. they love crap like this (and i say that who loved hollyoaks from 2007 to 2012)

Hollyoaks has definitely gone down in quality these past six months. A lot of the more popular characters have left in the past 12-18 months and they have not been able to replace them with characters that match up to them. The storylines have no build-up or aftermath. It definitely won't do as well as it did last year.
