CLOSE TO HOME EPISODE THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THREE OAD: WEDNESDAY JANUARY 9, 2014 SCENE ONE: THE WHITE ROOM The scene opens up a vast white room. In the room, there are multiple people wearing white. All of the people that are seen are laughing and smiling. Suddenly, there is a table seen. On the table, there is a big hole in it. In the hole, the town of Gordon Bay, California can be seen. At the table, a woman’s hand can be seen grabbing a glass of champagne. Suddenly as the glass is raised up, the woman is revealed. The woman is Annie Ashton. Annie sits in her chair with a smile on her face as she looks down upon Gordon Bay. She slowly places the glass down onto the table when a male hand comes over her shoulder. She looks up at the man with a smile. ANNIE My My My…. Steve I’m so happy that you could join me. Steve looks down at Annie with a smile. He walks over to the chair next to Annie and takes a seat. He grabs onto her right hand as he looks down at the hole. STEVE What can I say, we get one chance a year to look down on Gordon Bay. You don’t know how much I’ve longed for the chance to look down on Evan, and Hillary. ANNIE I’ve missed my girls so much. I only wish that Natalya was still alive… or at least here with me. Oh well, she’s paying for whatever she’s done in her life, I can’t help that. STEVE Hey, don’t dwell on it too much. You can still look down on Sarah, you know she’s doing right by your grandson. ANNIE And that’s all that I could have ever hoped for. Annie looks at Steve with a smile as the scene fades off. SCENE TWO: GORDON BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT: HOLDING CELL Sarah looks in on Damian as he is on his knees crying. Jordan has left the room as Sarah slowly walks towards the cell. As she looks in at Damian she takes a deep breath. She places her hands on the bars making enough noise to get Damian’s attention. He looks up at Sarah and scoffs. DAMIAN Let me guess, you came here to brag about something right? Oh wait, I’m probably wrong… you’re probably here to tell me about how much of a failure I am? Newsflash, I know that already Sarah. I’ve been a goddamn failure from the moment I’ve stepped into your life. Sarah takes a step back from the bars. SARAH Damian, I didn’t come here to do any of that. I came here to tell you that I was going to help you through all of this. I had to try like hell to even get in here to talk to you. DAMIAN You did, why? SARAH That reason is pretty damn simple, your sister is a bitch. She wanted to keep me from you for some reason. DAMIAN I can probably see why, but Jordan does things that I’ll never really understand. I never wanted any of this to happen Sarah, I really didn’t. SARAH Damian, I understand. You were brought to the brink thanks to Jordan. What kind of human being changes the results of a paternity test? She ruined more than just your life. She ruined Ryan and Trisha’s life as much as yours. In my honest opinion, if anyone should be behind bars its Jordan. ANNIE Now why in the hell is she visiting this fool? I swear, my daughter will never learn the error of her ways. STEVE It’s called blind faith. Deep down she knows that Damian is a good guy. I think deep down we all know someone who’s lost their way. SCENE THREE: HILLARY’S APARTMENT Hillary is sitting down at the counter in her kitchen. She has just finished sending a text message on her phone and places it down on the counter. Suddenly, there is a knock on her door. She gets up from her stool and walks over to her door. She looks through the peephole and rolls her eyes. She backs away from the door and answers it. On the other side of the door is Quinn. HILLARY You have thirty seconds to tell me what the hell you have to say. After that, I’m closing my door and I don’t want you coming back to my apartment again. QUINN Well, it’s good to see you too Hillary. I know that we’re not exactly on the best terms. I just figured that since you were engaged in intercourse with my brother, I was good enough to stop by. HILLARY Quinn, you’ll never be allowed anywhere near me. We may share a son, but that’s all that is the closest that me and you will ever get to being close to each other. QUINN That’s the thing, I wanted to talk to you about our son. Where exactly is Evan? HILLARY Evan is being a teenager like he should be, he’s enjoying his last few months here before graduating. Then he’s going off to college, what else do you think he’s doing? QUINN Look, I was just coming here to see how he was handling Heather going back to New Orleans. I worry about my son. HILLARY If you worry about your son so much, why didn’t you just text him yourself? Oh wait, that’s true he wouldn’t actually answer you. You know that Evan really doesn’t want to have anything to do with you. I think that everyone in Gordon Bay actually knows that. QUINN I know that I have shortcomings as a father, but you aren’t the role model mother either. We both know each other’s sorted history, so what’s the point in arguing about this? You were a stripper who got knocked up by her boss. You gave up your child for adoption, and he comes into your life sixteen years later. I think it’s a really simple story don’t you think? HILLARY I think it’s funny that you put it like that. Quinn, you took advantage of me. You’ve been a thorn in my side for nearly two decades now. You have no idea how much I wish that I could be rid of you forever. You should have followed Heather to New Orleans. Speaking of, I’m shocked I haven’t heard anything about the impending divorce. QUINN I had the papers drawn up earlier today, I want nothing to do with her. The only thing I want is a relationship with my son, and his mother. Hillary looks at Quinn with a sour expression. STEVE Nice to see things never change. ANNIE Quinn is always barking up the wrong tree. I swear, I’ve never seen a man who had the gall to rub so many people the wrong way. STEVE He’s been responsible for so much, but I think Hillary is the perfect match for his evil. SCENE FOUR: GORDON BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT: HOLDING CELL DAMIAN She had the best intentions for me at heart, I know that now. I just… I wish she would have just let me live without thinking that Drew was my child. If she wouldn’t have done it, I wouldn’t have done what I did to Trisha. I love… loved her, I didn’t want to do that, but Drew was my son. I really believed that he was my son. SARAH Damian, I feel for you. I really don’t want you to have to live with what’s going on right now. If I could do anything to alleviate the pain, I would. I tried to convince Hillary to take it easy on you, but it really was a moot point. Trisha and Ryan are out for blood, but I’m not going to leave your side on this. DAMIAN Even after all of the badmouthing that you’ve done about me? I honestly find that hard to believe Sarah. SARAH I do it not to draw attention to myself, Damian I still care about you. As horrible as things were that you did to me. Damian, it’s hard to admit you still love a man who tried everything in his power to ruin your life. I don’t know why you did it, but you did. DAMIAN I don’t know why I did it, but I did. I would have let you be if Jordan wouldn’t have wanted to be with Adam. I did everything that I did since I got to Gordon Bay for her. Nothing that I’ve done was done because of my own thoughts. I did them all for my sister. ANNIE Oh, he’s totally full of crap, you can tell. STEVE You never know, people do eventually turn over a new leaf. SCENE FIVE: HILLARY’S APARTMENT HILLARY Quinn, you will never have a relationship with me. The past was something that should have never happened between us in the first place. You’re better off staying out of my way. QUINN How can you even say that? HILLARY Simple, there is no chance in hell that I would ever want anything to do… Suddenly, Hillary’s cell phone rings. She looks at the caller ID and answers the call. HILLARY Talk to me… okay, I can be there as soon as I can. Hillary hangs up the phone before she looks up at Quinn. QUINN Let me guess I have to go? HILLARY Yeah, I have to go the GBPD. Hillary and Quinn both leave. SCENE SIX: THE WHITE ROOM Steve and Annie are sitting around the table. They look into the hole and slowly look up at each other. STEVE Should that be cause for concern? ANNIE It’s Gordon Bay, you never know. SCENE SEVEN: GORDON BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT: VISITATION ROOM The sounds of cuffs and shackles are heard being applied. Suddenly, there is a voice heard speaking. “Jesus, you think you’d people would know how to do this with tender love and care.” Suddenly, the person is revealed to be Carmen MacPherson who is sitting in the room with a smile on her face. |

- Loved the heaven scenes, reminded me so much of One Life to Live's finale seeing all the dead people come back as angels in heaven looking down on their loved ones and seeing it happen here on Close to Home with Steve and Annie coming back as angels watching over their loved ones was even better - Carmen at the end, what a cliffhanger, since she's been arrested I wonder if she will be let out on bail? And if she is then her bail will definitely be expensive that's for sure but I can definitely see someone paying her bail but if her bail gets revoked and she gets no bail then I wonder if she will be on the fasttrack to arraignment? I wonder if she will go on trial for her crimes? - Yes Hillary and Quinn do share a son and through that connection they will always be connected but Quinn is deluding himself if he thinks Hillary wants anything to do with him and considering their past and everything I can't see Hillary ever going there, well at least with Quinn's brother Tony he is actually a decent human being unlike his brother - Evan going off to college, I wonder which college he's heading to? Gordon Bay University? Or is he going out of state? Either way I wonder if Evan and Bianca will cross paths again before the finale? - Sarah finally admits it, she finally admits that she is still in love with Damian and always will be, glad that she finally tells the truth and seeing her stand by Damian despite all he's done, I have to admire that and respect that but with Damian he will be lucky if he somehow gets out under all of these charges he's facing unless he ends up striking a deal with the Gordon Bay Police Department, in exchange for a full pardon in exchange he gives them an even bigger criminal than himself and if he does that then who knows maybe his record will be wiped clean |

- But I honestly think Damian can be redeemed especially if he goes about turning over a new leaf but Damian he's a bad guy at heart, he is like the real Todd Manning of OLTL in a sense, he is like the Todd Manning of Gordon Bay if you wanna make that comparison - And with Damian I am sure he can get a high-priced attorney to represent him, or how about his uncle? Can't Damian get his uncle to represent him as his lawyer? Then his lawyer can make the argument of Damian pleading insanity but even if he were to do that he would have to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and he would have to fake being insane to somehow get out under these charges Edited by Terry, Aug 5 2014, 07:36 PM.

I don't know who Annie is but she seems interesting! The heaven scenes were great! It was sweet to see Steve watching over Hillary! Sarah finally admits her feelings for Damian and it looks like she's going to be by his side through this! Nice Carmen cliffhanger! |

Annie Ashton she was Natalya and Sarah's mother And Steve watching over his wife Hillary is understandable But Damian if he is going to get out of this it is going to take a miracle, the best bet being he makes a deal with the Gordon Bay Police Department in exchange for his freedom he gives them an even bigger criminal with Damian being the bait of course |

As far as Natalya being in hell I never expected her to be there but I guess it makes sense But as far as Carmen I see her being carted off to prison because if Damian can be carted off to prison then certainly Carmen will too but either way it will take a miracle for Carmen to get out of these charges |
