The Crimson Desert
Extra-Planar Relam

Connected to by at least one portal within the Elfin Citadel, a vast red desert of baking-hot sand with tall flint-like mountain ranges. The sky is an unbroken roiling mass of dark clouds tinted red.

Some plantlife has been seen, corse thorned shrubs that emit a copper-like smell of blood.

Scorched Portal

A portal which appears as little more than a crater filled with magical light, and the runes scorched into the ground around it.

White Towers

A circle of six White Towers arranged around a constructed portal. These consist of a prison, a ritual and components store, two libraries, a food source, and regeneration chambers. All of these are to support the six grey-skinned Elves who were able to turn to stone at will.

Ruined City

A large city of blackish-grey stone. A mix of large square buildings and tall towers, the skyline is dominated by a vast domed colosseum and a trianglular-roofed temple. The portal appears in a relatively central plaza, and appears functional though there are no glyphs on this side.

Most buildings are at least partially collapsed, many have toppled into others and rubble is strewn everywhere. There is no sign of any recent life, and a red sand from the desert is blown in and collects amidst ruins, in fountains and in street gulleys.

Temple

The Temple appears to be in worship of the Exiled Princes, and has their twisted faces displayed prominently. A small chapel contains statuettes of them (now broken), and a library has empty book bindings and time-cracked Amphorae. A lower level has long, curved but plain stone containers, suspected to be sarcophagi. A small circular room at the rear contains two small drinking fountains, one of purple (polymorphic) and one of clear (hallucinogenic) liquids.

These Fae were darker and crueller than any of the other Monarchs. When they left the world, the Exiled were not allowed to be on either sphere- and for their crimes they were banished to a hellish place. The cults which worship The Exiled wish for their return, so they can build a new kingdom out of madness and bloodshed.

Well I think now we've worked out clearly that the extra planar realm we've found is where these Exiled have been banished.

From this excerpt from the lore section, I think we can safely assume these elves WANT to come back to Deresull, and that it wouldn't be a good thing if they did. I've reversed my position, i don't view communication as a sensible option as they will likely be mad and unpredictable.
