Maybe need to tweak the formula a bit as some creatures may end up weaker than they should be - Ogres should ideally end up being strength 18 or above. You also need to be careful that low hit die creatures are not stronger than they should be - remember many are Small, not Medium creatures and should get a 2 point penalty to strength so your average 1/2 hit die creature will be strength 7, not 9. |

The latter is taken care of by the size modifiers you mentioned though I didn't think it needed to be mentioned in the notes. E.G. goblins and skeletons are both 1d6HP though a goblin will be at Str 8 due to size. I thought at first that I'd also think monsters like ogres would work out too weak though I thought the % saves which came with it actually worked out not bad. Still bears some more consideration though. |
