I cannot understand how anyone can like Transformers?

Awful tbh.

Havent seen Terminator. Doubt it will be anything like the classics (no, not T3), but I also doubt Transformers 2 will be better than Salvation...

Megan Fox tbh?

Nah, i went into it with really low expectations and really enjoyed the original.

I think thats the difference between that and Terminator, i had high expectations of Terminator, Christian Bale is a great actor, chooses fantastic films and i was really interested about what happened after Judgement Day.

No but three people have now told me its literally the funniest movie theyve seen.

Apparently it's just a whole new league of comedy. Let us know!

Saw both Hangover and Transformers.

The Hangover - hilarious and clever, enjoyable throughout.

Transformers - gripping and exciting, fantastic sound effects, story, graphics etc. Slightly dragged out but still amazing. Some jaw dropping moments.

Optimus Prime: "I'll take you ALL down!!!" before kicking ass....what a scene.

Saw Transformers, i loved the first one, but i found this one a little disapointing. Was way too long at 2 hours and 40 minutes. Action sequences were fantastic, loved the first one in Shanghai. There was little development of the Megan Fox and Shia La Beouf characters, they spent the whole movie running about.

Some proper funny moments though.

Come, come, nuclear bomb...
Just watched Batman Begins for the first time. Thought it was pretty good, should have watched it before Dark Knight like. Liam Neeson doesn't suit bad guys well, I just kept thinking of him as the nice step-dad in Love Actually. Kind of fit well really seeing how he lost his wife in both films. Made it a bit funny in my head from then on thinking it was a Love Actually character that went on to be a super-villain.

Anyway, why oh why did they get rid of Katie Holmes for Dark Knight? Tom Cruise is a lucky man.

I watched District 9 last weekend, and loved it.

Well made, kinda low budget feeling (I heard $30m), yet the special effects with space ship and aliens looked better than most films to date.

Starts off as kind of a documentary, which slowly turns into the more conventional sci-fi action.
Quite humorous, and great action scenes, yet so far away from Hollywood.

Recommended! Great movie!

I've heard a lot of good stuff about that film Jez.

Batman Begins was awesome at the time, but The Dark Knight just blew it out of the water for me. I love the bit at the end with the Joker card though, just ramped up your excitement for the next one. I can't see anyone taking on the role of the Joker now? They'll have to bring in The Riddler. :P

Katie Holmes was pregnant at the time or just had the kid i think. She's cute, i think Maggie Gyllenhaal was alright in the 2nd, they look quite similar.

Looks good, not sure i'd brave the Cinema's with the MJ fans, might be a little too much for me. Would buy the DVD of it though.

Would concern me where all the money they are making for this is going though.

I went to see District 9 the other week. Almost walked out after the first half hour, absolute dier. Luckily, it picks up for the last 40 minutes and has some great action sequences.

Anyone seen I'm Not There, the Bob Dylan film? Very very peculiar, but i really enjoyed it.

Couple of the stories i just plain didn't understand the significance, the Richard Gere part and the black kid. Not sure really what was going on there.

The Heath Ledger and Cate Blanchett bits were good. Worth it for the music alone really though.
