"Save us!"... and I'll whisper "no."
|
Topic to discuss i suppose. GameTrailers Review Here Don't worry, they don't give anything away. Looks so good in places, and so bad in others. Those dumb enemies, you stealth kill someone right in front of them and they don't see it and they wait there turn in sword fights, the Horse looks a little retarded as well, dunno just the way it runs. The free-running looks great though. bleh dunno whether to get it or not, i like picking up a few games after Christmas/New Year, so might get it then. PS3 or 360 though.

Come, come, nuclear bomb...

Traded in a few games today to get a credit note ready for Friday. Like these games that involve some sort of history element to them, seems like a really great environment to play in. Think it's gonna be on PS3 for me as I got Smackdown and COD4 on 360, depends on how much difference there is between the prices. |

IGN PS3 - 7.5 360 - 7.7 Hopefully its still good though. I mean even Lair is apparently quite good and that got like 4.7? Tbh I think reviewers are getting even more hard to please, always nitpicking, except for their favourite titles. Then again it could well be a bit of a dog.So far we have: IGN 7.6 1UP 7.0 GT 9.1 Any more? |

Most part this looks brill. The stealth kill 10m away from an onlooking guard - "Huh? What was that noise?", was a bit ghey. |

Where have you read Lair was good? Even the Official Playstation mag said the controls made it a dog to play and had too many glitches. On PS.com maybe? ;p Jeeeeez some people on there would eat shit if Sony made it and made it out to be a PS3 game. I wouldn't say reviewers are hard to please, Halo 3, BioShock and Call of Duty all scored massively well and fully deserved. Assassins Creed had a lot of promise but looks ultimately a little too ambitious, im sure its a good game still. I've cancelled my Kane and Lynch order as well, waiting for reviews, i think that may have gone the same way. |

been playing this for the most of today, and it really is damn amazing. The free running works great, and just that alone is worth the purchase for, but the combat system flows really well, and while jj is right in enemies waiting their turn, it only happens when you get 5 or more attacking at once just so you don't get bogged down in attacks. The stealth kills are a bit weird though in the way that no one reacts to them, unless of course you assisinate someone right in front of a guard, then of course they will attack you. Overall though it is an excellent game, well worthy of all the hype its been getting. It is also just an assumption, but it seems like the guys keeping desmond captive are training him in the art of the assassin to do their bidding in the present day, so perhaps look out for some gameplay in the present day other then just wondering round the lab. 9.1/10 from me =] |

Managed to get this today from Shopto although it isn't the Uk version but a European version. Doesn't seem to be any difference from a Uk game, other than on the back of the box it says not yet rated by the BBFC. However on the disk it has a BBFC rating of 15.
Anyway so far so good, graphics are nice, presentation, sound etc are all pretty good. I've only played maybe 1.5-2 hours but havn't done much tbh - just been wondering about looking at things. The story is a bit weird but so far I think it's actaully quite interesting. I won't do a Chalky. The grab-onto-(almost)-anything premise is brilliant though. B) |

Decided to get this on 360 as it was £5 cheaper. Seems pretty good so far, story seems interesting, graphics are very nice and climbing stuff is coooooool. Combat leaves a bit to be desired though, seems a bit button bashy. But worth getting if you want a decent story driven single player game it seems. |

Got a copy of this on PS3. Im really enjoying it so far. I can see why some websites gave it bad reviews. The missions do get very repetative, but not in a boring way. Graphics are amazing. The free roaming gives hours of exploration and its great fun messing about with the guards and your hidden dagger Feels like GTA- just doesnt get boring even when ya just wander around. In all, worth a purchase! |

King of the Impossible!

Got this today, bit disappointing tbh. Beginning is really slow and free running, whilst looking the sex, is rather dull to perform. Despite the somewhat extensive tutorial, I still couldn't fathom how to beat this guy up for info. So I ended up just chucking him everywhere, whilst he delivered an endless combo to my head. After about 15 mins I'd managed to throw him to the floor three times, and he gave up despite completely pwning me in the fight ![]() "Please, no more! I cannot take anymore of this beating" says the guy with a bruised bum "um... k" says NuZ with a broken spine, bleeding nose and one eye poked out. Looks pretty though, and'll hopefully get more interesting as I actually get to assassinate people, rather than just being told how to free run again... |

"Throw him to the floor?" "What?" "Throw him to the floor, sir?" "Oh yes Centuwion, thwow him to the floow". I played a few hours yesterday at my brother (my game though). Need to start all over again now when I'm home. I can clearly see why the game didn't recieve top scores, but it is a very good game. It just didn't live up to all the promises. A.I. Someone. We and my nephew made a pile of dead guards just to see how long we could kill people in the same spot, and just "blend" whenever a new guard came to inspect the pile of cadavers. "Whos responsible for this!?" *Blend* *Assassinate* "Whos responsible for this!?" *Blend* . . . . |

Played a bit more of this and I've still yet to assassinate someone. Really is a nice looking game though, and pushing people about is rather funny. Tis also quite amusing how far Altair can jump from vantage points
