It was also revealed that there will be a Mario Kart Channel for the Wii. Players will be able to monitor their ranking against others with data compiled from races completed online as well as also access and share Ghost Data to download. Players even have the possibility to join in on their friends races in progress as a spectator and jump into the race when the next course launches. Through this channel, users will be exposed to a host of new online features allowing them to join a community of racing fans from all over the world as well as participate in special worldwide events organised by Nintendo. Although it wasn't made very clear, Nintendo have also said that the game will have some sort of 'chat' function. The following is an extract from the press release: 'Why not see if your friends are playing by checking their status or even better still set up a room in which you can chat to them before a race starts?' It's not known what this chat option will be, but my money's on text. Kinda surprised at the release date, launching so near to Super Smash Bros, before in fact. Smash Bros has had so much more hype than this, kinda makes me a little concerned that they're not expecting big things from this. I'd rather have Mario Kart.

The bikes seem to ruin the whole point of mario KART as they are faster and handle better than any kart I used. The wii controls piss me off but that's just me in general, and when I turn the plastic wheel to the left, I expect to turn left, not fly off to the right... ended up setting a 360 up and playing guitar hero =] t'is a good game though, just not all it's cracked up to be me thinks...

There are like Super Drift n stuff, dunno how to do that shit though. Skillz, you erm shake the wheel tbh. I think you shake it up and down or left and right in flight off a jump. On a bike you lift the wheel to a wheelie.

Shame, some of the new arena's are quite good.
