Had another go at this last night and scored a screamer with Rooney. One thing I do love about PES is scoring a screamer, happens slightly more often than FIFA, but not often enough to ruin it. It's just so much easier to work space in PES. Pre-ordered.

Its always been too easy to score from distance on PES...but yes the screamers are nice. I went back and played it, its just so clunky and arcadey after having played FIFA, if i hadn't got FIFA, i'd probably still be enjoying PES, but FIFA have completely trumped them in my opinion. I'll only get this if they do that offer they seem to do after a few months, £20 or something. Only thing i dislike about FIFA is how hard i find it online, because on PES online i've always found gettings a few wins fairly easy. |

Right, I've had 4 games, 3 offline, 1 online. In all 3 games offline, the other team has had a player sent off for fouls that weren't really fouls, they get loads of cards, fouls that are fouls go unnoticed, and this is all on 'Top Player'. I've scored two carbon copy goals of a corner that's been headed out to my player, then I passed it back to the corner taker, crossed it in to a guy who's free in the box to plant it in. It also seems to do sliding tackles from computer players in situations where you don't want it to, I.E. your own penalty box.  Online was ok, definitely not as laggy as last year, although it's definitely still there. You can never tell if you're winning because of lag or because the other guy is worse, I beat the person 4-1. Scored my first screamer with Scholesy. And you have to use the crappy Konami ID and Game ID thing like on MGS Online. And then you still get to choose your own name after that.  Doesn't seem to be 'radically improved' as stated on the box.There's a couple of saving graces though. The Champions League presentation is nice, it's a lot more difficult on the higher difficulty level than last year, and they're challenging FIFA in the 'Who's got the best impression of Ronaldo's free-kicks?' competition. Although his penalties are woeful, just look like he's having some sort of fit when he stops in the middle of his run-up. Yet to play it with anyone else in the same room, but at the moment, regrettably, I'm saying FIFA has got it this year. EDIT: Forgot about the Become a Legend mode, trying it now. Why, on both FIFA and this, do they not have 'Richards' as a commentary name? I have to go with 'Richardson'.  I know on FIFA he definitely says 'Richards' for Micah Richards but I still couldn't choose it!

2v2 online or not? Anything interesting at all online? I can i just do a delayed lol, for The Become a Legend Online Video at the end of the PES demo, looks so cheesy, with the multipliers and stuff. Anyway sounds like i'll stick with FIFA. Is the Online music still there as well?! =D |

FACK. I love 2v2, i was kinda more tempted to get this on 360. Presume you've gone for PS3? I wanna try and hold out for a price drop really though. |

I used to admire you! Yeah gone for PS3 Jimz. Only reason really because my mates all prefer the PS3 controllers. If I was gonna play it online more I'd have gone for the 360 version, PES6 was perfect online on 360. Ahhh the good old days. |

Just scored my first free kick. That's one more than FIFA. And it was a cracker with Ronaldo. Keeper was nowhere. Also, Lawro sounds like he's having his balls grabbed permanently.

I'm going to try and see if I can make it through the year by listening to the other language's commentators - the Italians and Spanish always seem to be more lively. Besides Lawro really does sounds like he's just reading straight from the sheet of paper. |
