Hmmm. I'd get it back if we could Co-Op it again. Doing the whole campaign was epic.

Yeah, was definately the best part of the game. Couple of my friends who are brothers are finally getting a 360 in the next week or so and are big Halo fans, so i might be playing it a bit again.

There are new achiecements as of now as well.

Need to get this back....

EDIT: Here's some details too:

Quote:

This new chapter in the Halo universe includes the following:

* All-new campaign content: The Halo 3: Recon campaign is an intriguing side story that takes place during the terrifying events leading up to the Master Chief’s return to New Mombasa in Halo 3. Experience the fate of Earth from the brand-new perspective of a special forces ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper), adding a unique outlook and new gameplay elements to the events that unfold in the trilogy’s finale. While the feel of this new chapter greatly resembles that of previous Halo experiences, Halo 3: Recon will require you to employ more elements of stealth and cunning than ever before.
* Prepare to drop: Known for their courage, valor and, at times, insanity, ODSTs are among the fiercest UNSC soldiers, priding themselves on being the first unit deployed into hostile situations. While not as large or supernaturally gifted as their Spartan comrades, these "Hell Jumpers" more than compensate with their ferocious attitudes and unwavering nerve.
* Expanded multiplayer collection:No Halo experience would be complete without groundbreaking multiplayer content, and Halo 3: Recon gives fans more of what they love. With exclusive new maps and expanded Forge options, Xbox LIVE® Gold members will find more multiplayer content than ever before with Halo 3: Recon.
* Ever-growing community options: Enjoy all the great Halo 3 technological innovations, including Saved Films, screenshots, Campaign Scoring, and four-player co-op. All of the new multiplayer maps fully support the Forge editor, offering endless gameplay customization possibilities.

I'm way confused, it sounds great, but is this DLC or a brand new game?

Release is Fall 2009 as well, not any time soon.

Anybody getting ODST? I quite fancy it, really quite enjoyed Halo 3 and this is only 30 squid.

Looking at the release schedule, there isn't much out this year, other than MW2 and Uncharted 2. =/

Just about to go and rent a copy. Had a laugh on Halo 3's co-op, multiplayer is a bit too arcadey for me though.

Tried to get a 3 player co-op campaign going last night, but it was completely unplayable due to lag. I'm assuming this is just early teething problems with the servers which will be resolved soon.

So, been going through on my own on Legendry and have to say, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It's just simple arcade action done really well. Gunplay feels smooth, music is good and I'm enjoying playing from the several perspectives of the ODST troopers.

Not tried the multiplayer yet, it's a completely different disc. One disc for campaign and one for multiplayer.

T'is pretty good, was a good idea to keep it Halo 3, but take it into a bit of a different direction. Reminded me and Lewis, of the times we had going thru Halo 3, with Sane and Surf.

Wish the silenced assault rifle you start off with had a bit more of a kick though. It would enable you to be a bit more sneaky.

Story is a bit hard to follow in Co-Op, it gets a bit confusing, when there's two of you playing the same character and then other charcters coming in and helping. I like the fact its a bit more human, its bit hard to relate to a guy in a helmet all the time.

The darkness and the visor work really well, as well, the city looks great at night.

It's more tactical than Halo 3. Playing through on legendary on my own, you have to really conserve your ammo and there's times when it's better to avoid conflict all together and just try and slip through.

There doesn't seem to be as much vehicular combat either, although I haven't finished it yet.

Think me and Lew are on Normal? Hope he's not doing what he did on Gears of War 2, put himself on Hardcore and me stuck on Normal, helping him.

Do you mean by slipping past tactically, bombing past enemy vehicles in a warthog very fast to just reach the next checkpoint, without them having time to turn around?

No, when your in the city, trying to get to the locations on your map. Sometimes you can find a easier route and give'm the slip. I'd imagine on normal though, you can just plough through it without much care.

We're on Heroic Jim. In between Normal and Legendary. Should be the same for you.
