I thought i would set up this topic to discuss the new socom Confrontation Downloadable content. Apparently three new socom 2 maps are coming out. Not sure what maps. hopefully Fish Hook or Night Stalker. Does anyone know when this should be coming out? Also.... The new update should be good. fixing a few faulty things in the game. Anyone know when this is released also?

DLC will follow soon after. I'd love to see some more SOCOM II maps on the scene. Death trap, Sandstorm, Fox hunt, Sujo and Enowapi are amongst my most wanted.

Vigilance was one of my favourite maps on Socom 2, and I loved the snow maps, so this news is great. I wonder what the new game mode is though. They'll have to add a new camo slot for snow maps, or else everyones camo will stick out a little bit

That's deffinately Vigilance. Great map that suffered from poor framerate, just like fish hook. Up on your left there was a mounted gun, and further up on the right is one of the spawns... Behind the building on the left was the "bicycle shoppe".

We won't be seeing Fish Hook anytime soon, as that is a North African map, like the 'area' of the first 7 maps. Vigilance was Eastern Europe, so we could be seeing some of these as well? Requiem- Demolition- Russia Guidance- Escort- Russia Chain Reaction- Suppression- Russia Fox Hunt- Escort- Albania The Mixer- Escort- Albania Vigilance- Suppression- Albania Blizzard- Demolition- Alaska Room good maps there. I know Alaska isn't Eastern Europe, but then Frostfire was an Alaskan map and that turned into an African map. =/ Edited by JimmyJumble, Jul 1 2009, 05:26 PM.

I don't think it's going to happen though, I think it's going to be Vigilance, Blizzard, Nightstalker and three new maps. New attachments will be thermal scope and maybe a flash light.

I liked Chain Reaction, hope we get that, and Blizzard. Maybe even Requiem. Intrigued about the new modes.
